Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina organizes PressStart, a program of education and empowerment of young people, journalism students and civil society activists who want to investigate corruption and misuse of public resources.

The program is specially designed to enable everyone who has the ambition to devote themselves to investigative journalism to acquire practical knowledge and skills, offer support and necessary resources to start their own media or channel on social networks.

Why register to PressStart?

• If you want to do investigative journalism and don’t know how to start.
• If you feel you have a good story that should be told, but you don’t know how.
• If you have the knowledge to do journalism, but you lack the practice and experience to start your own media.
• If you are interested in investigating corruption and misuse of public resources but need support.

What PressStart offers?

PressStart provides educational programs and workshops led by experts with many years of experience in the field of investigative journalism and media representation, who will direct the participants in all details and particulars of the journalist profession and share with them secrets and advice on how to investigate a problem, tell a story and reach the audience for whom that story is important.

The program offers participants the necessary tools and knowledge to access data of public importance with which it is possible to investigate corruption and consumption of public resources, and participants will also receive resources and support for establishing their own web portal or channel on social networks and practical advice for their management and growth.

The program also foresees long-term support in the creation and marketing of attractive and adaptable media content.

Our goal is to create an environment free from political pressures, where young journalists can freely investigate and present the truth without fear of censorship, commercial loss or other restrictions.

How to apply to PressStart?

Applications should be sent to info@ti-bih.org with the indication APPLICATION TO THE PRESSSTART PROGRAM, and it is necessary to attach a CV and a motivational letter in which you should state why you are interested in this program.
