Censorship

Censorship is the control or limitation of freedom of expression, access to information or artistic creativity by some authority or institution. Censorship means removing, banning or changing content that is considered undesirable or dangerous to the public. Censorship can be present in different forms, and most often it appears as limiting or controlling information that is transmitted through the media, such as newspapers, television, radio, the Internet and other platforms. This may include banning the publication of certain stories, political views or objectionable information.

Political censorship is also a very significant phenomenon, i.e. limiting or banning political positions, statements or organizations that are considered undesirable or dangerous for the government. Any form of censorship can have serious consequences for freedom of expression, democracy and human rights, which is why freedom of information and freedom of expression are considered crucial for a society free from corruption.
