TI BiH organizes a conference on anti-corruption programs in public enterprises

Sarajevo, 2nd July 2018 – Transparency International in BiH is organizing a conference entitled „Anti-corruption programs in BiH public enterprises“ which will be the opportunity to present results of the research conducted under the name „Transparency of corporate reporting of public enterprises in BiH“, and to initiate discussion regarding good governance and the need to create anti-corruption programs in public enterprises.

The conference will serve as the opportunity to discuss governance, transparency of reporting and anti-corruption activities in BiH public enterprises. The first day of the conference will be devoted to the presentation of the findings on the assessment of the transparency of corporate reporting of public enterprises in BiH (index and report), and discussion on the needs and ways of developing anti-corruption programs in public enterprises. Second day of the conference will be organized as a workshop aimed at building capacities of public enterprises, at which the participants will learn more information about the guidelines of the Handbook on Combating Corruption and Developing Integrity Plans of Public Enterprises.

The conference will be held on 3rd and 4th July, 2018, at the Hotel Hills in Sarajevo, at 12.00h.

Transparency International in BiH is a database of public companies

On Thursday, June 14, 2018. A press conference will be held at the International Press Center of the Hotel Bosna, starting at 11:00 AM Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) to present a database on the operations of public companies. On a specially designed portal, TI BiH will publish the most important data on 230 public companies, which include the composition of management bodies, salaries of members of management and supervisory boards, average salaries of employees and salary costs.

In order to increase transparency in management, prevent corruption and increase public participation in monitoring their work, the most important data on business, profits, losses, number of employees and various discretionary costs in public companies will be published.

On this occasion, TI BiH will present a cross-section of the main findings collected through the database of public companies.
