On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day: Round Table “To make public procurement public”

Transparency International in BiH (TI BiH) organizes a round table called “To make public procurement public”, supported by the Open Society Fund BiH and the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information Georgia. This event will be the opportunity to present methodology of ranking countries based on transparency of public procurements, and the current position of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the list of public procurement transparency.

Sarajevo, 10thDecember 2018 – This will also be an occasion to present the results of the work conducted by TI BiH and its partner organizations on the project entitled „To make public procurement public“, through which they monitor implementation of the BiH Law on Public Procurement for the second year in a row, and inform the relevant institutions about the observed irregularities, as well as the public about undertaken actions.

Finally, round table will provide a separate panel to discuss the current situation and perspectives of amending the legal framework concerning public procurement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while also commenting the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement.

The round table includes participation of the representatives of the Public Procurement Agency, Procurement Review Body, working group that prepared amendments to the Law on Public Procurement, non-governmental sector and the representatives of the judiciary, business community, public procurement trainer, auditing institutions and other interested parties.

The round table will be held on 11thDecember 2018 at 10.00h, at the Hotel Courtyard Marriott in Sarajevo.
