Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) held the second module of the School of Integrity titled “Citizen, Human Rights, and Freedoms”, which took place from October 24, 2025. until the 26th in the Ethno Village Čardaci. The program brought together young activists and future leaders from across Bosnia and Herzegovina who, during three days of lectures, workshops, and discussions, had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the role of citizens in society, human rights, public policies, and transparency.

During the module, Prof. Dr. Milena Karapetrović spoke about the relationship between citizens, the state, and society, while Uglješa Vuković, a human rights associate at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, presented international and domestic mechanisms for the protection of human rights in BiH. Jelena Kalinić, a science journalist and communicator, delivered an interactive lecture on the impact of disinformation and pseudoscientific narratives on democratic processes and public policies.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of TI BiH, Srđan Blagovčanin, spoke about the development of public policies and integrity management, while members of the TI BiH team, Aleksa Vučen and Marko Vujić, presented topics on the culture of dialogue, the right to access information, and proactive transparency.

Through the exchange of experiences and work assignments, participants deepened their understanding of the principles of integrity, accountability, and the rule of law, and developed concrete ideas for action in their communities.

The TI BiH School of Integrity program is implemented with the support of the governments of Sweden and Denmark.
