TI BiH organizes a conference on the occasion of the International Day of Free Access to Information

Press rls 27 September 2018 – On the occasion of the International Day of Free Access to Information, Transparency International in BiH (TI BiH) is organizing a conference entitled „Transparency of public funds distribution – data availability and open government perspectives“.

TI BiH will use this opportunity to present the results of an extensive research related to directing public funds for grants, subsidies, patronage and sponsorhips, scholarships and single financial aid in 2016 and 2017. One part of the conference will be dedicated to the possibilities that new technologies can provide in terms of access to relevant data in the possession of public institutions. Special attention will be paid to the concept of open government, and challenges and obstacles encountered by individuals and organizations during data collection, including the way institutions collect, archive and provide data.

The conference will be held on Friday, 28^thSeptember 2018, at the Hotel Europe in Sarajevo (address: Vladislava Skarica no.5) at 12.00h.

TI BiH filed criminal charges against Milorad Dodik

Ten political parties spent more than BAM 790.000 on media advertising in just ten days

TI BiH to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska: Spontaneous gathering of citizens is an international standard

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska (MIA RS) warned the activists of the group Pravda za Davida (Justice for David) that they failed to inform the Ministry about gathering. The UCC RS campaign was misused to promote SNSD candidates

TI BiH submitted an additional report to the CEC of BiH due to the abuse of the campaign of the UCC RS “Everyone under one roof” for the purpose of promoting the SNSD candidate. The UCC RS refused to provide information on the funds spent on the campaign and the procedures for procuring services for the creation and distribution of promotional materials.

Abuse of the campaign “Prevention of Stroke” for the promotion of SNSD candidate

TI BiH informed Central Election Commission BiH (CEC BiH) that a campaign “Prevention of Stroke” which is being launched currently in RS and financed from public funds, is used for personal promotion of the Director of the University Clinical Center of RS (UCC RS) Vlado Dzajic, a candidate of SNSD for an MP of the National Assembly of RS (NARS), and thus making a non-permitted influence on voters. More and more whistleblowers are reporting corruption, most of them in the state administration

New irregularities related to the issuance of Certificate of no criminal conviction

TI BiH organizes a conference on anti-corruption programs in public enterprises

Sarajevo, 2nd July 2018 – Transparency International in BiH is organizing a conference entitled „Anti-corruption programs in BiH public enterprises“ which will be the opportunity to present results of the research conducted under the name „Transparency of corporate reporting of public enterprises in BiH“, and to initiate discussion regarding good governance and the need to create anti-corruption programs in public enterprises.

The conference will serve as the opportunity to discuss governance, transparency of reporting and anti-corruption activities in BiH public enterprises. The first day of the conference will be devoted to the presentation of the findings on the assessment of the transparency of corporate reporting of public enterprises in BiH (index and report), and discussion on the needs and ways of developing anti-corruption programs in public enterprises. Second day of the conference will be organized as a workshop aimed at building capacities of public enterprises, at which the participants will learn more information about the guidelines of the Handbook on Combating Corruption and Developing Integrity Plans of Public Enterprises.

The conference will be held on 3rd and 4th July, 2018, at the Hotel Hills in Sarajevo, at 12.00h.

Members of the FBiH Parliament supported a proposal preventing the anti-corruption fight

TI BiH published on portal Transparentno.ba a database on performance of 230 public enterprises

Collected data show that, regardless of performance, many public enterprises still increase number of its employees and salary expenditure. Average salaries of employees in public enterprises are significantly higher than the salaries in the economy sector and are not related to the business results of enterprises in any way. (more…)

Transparency International in BiH is a database of public companies

On Thursday, June 14, 2018. A press conference will be held at the International Press Center of the Hotel Bosna, starting at 11:00 AM Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) to present a database on the operations of public companies. On a specially designed portal, TI BiH will publish the most important data on 230 public companies, which include the composition of management bodies, salaries of members of management and supervisory boards, average salaries of employees and salary costs.

In order to increase transparency in management, prevent corruption and increase public participation in monitoring their work, the most important data on business, profits, losses, number of employees and various discretionary costs in public companies will be published.

On this occasion, TI BiH will present a cross-section of the main findings collected through the database of public companies.
