Digital Transformation of Public Administration in BiH: New Tools for Transparency and Efficiency Presented

Sarajevo, Jun 20, 2023 – Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USAID E-Government project organized a presentation of new digital solutions for the transformation of public administration, which were created as part of the USAID “E-Government” project.

Representatives of civil society organizations gathered to learn about the innovative digital systems that will soon be implemented in the areas of public procurement, inspection supervision and issuing building permits. Thanks to USAID funding, this project aims to modernize e-government legislation, while at the same time providing support to authorities in the development of advanced digital solutions.

It is expected that at least 25 new e-services will enable citizens and businesses to submit requests and receive documents from competent institutions via an electronic system, thus eliminating the need for long queues at counters. This transformation uses digitization as a tool to make procedures in public services more efficient and transparent, providing significant benefits to citizens.

Through the implementation of new digital tools, the public administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina is progressing towards a modern, efficient and transparent administration that is capable of providing quality services to its citizens. A more efficient and transparent public administration ensures better use of public resources, reduces corruption and improves the business environment for citizens and businesses.
