Transparency International Participates in the Event Marking the European Day of Justice in Tuzla

Tuzla, October 26, 2023 – In the Municipal Court in Tuzla, on October 26 and 27, 2023, the central Manifestation marking the European Day of Justice under the name “Transparent and Efficient Justice at the Service of Citizens” is being held. Representatives of Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina are also participating in this event, among the numerous significant participants.

The event, which this year is being held in Tuzla, aims to promote the transparency and efficiency of the judicial system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to the host, the Municipal Court in Tuzla, the co-organizers of the event are the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH/Council) and representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ).

On the first day of the event, two panels are planned  professional community, an open discussion forum on issues important both for the judiciary of our country and for the Bosnian society as a whole. The second day is intended for the citizens of Tuzla, where key information will be presented about the functioning of judicial institutions, the integrity of judges and prosecutors, and the code of ethics for holders of judicial functions.

The participation of representatives of Transparency International in BiH at this event further confirms the commitment to transparency and the fight against corruption at the global level, with the expectation that this event will provide valuable insights and experiences regarding the transparency of judicial institutions and the challenges they face.
