Workshop: Anti-corruption measures for the Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership
regarding public procurement
Sarajevo, September 11, 2017 – Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) is organizing a workshop entitled Anti-corruption measures for the Action Plan of the Open Government Partnership regarding public procurement, aimed at exchanging knowledge and experiences in the drafting process and implementation of measures related to public procurement.
This will be the opportunity for the TI BiH representatives to talk about anti-corruption measures within the OGP action plans, and the significance of publishing all information regarding the public procurement in BiH. The representative of the Open Contracting Partnership from Lithuania, Mr Karolis Granickas, will talk about the correlation between the OGP Initiative and open contracting, and will provide the examples to present the possibilities that all members of the Initiative have within their OGP action plans.
A significant part of the workshop will be dedicated to discussion related to challenges and opportunities the action plans provide in order to ensure better transparency and efficiency in the field of public procurement. Thus, the representative of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information from Georgia, Mr Giorgi Kldiashvili, will talk about the way in which it is possible to make the contracting authorities disclose all information in an open format, and the way to ensure the continuity in disclosure. After that, the representative of Transparency International Ukraine, Mr Viktor Nestulia, will give the example of the Ukrainian portal of public procurement to show how to ensure, not only disclosure of information, but the timely disclosure of information, in an appropriate format, and which ensure the public monitoring over the public procurement procedures.
The official start of the workshop is planned for Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Hotel Europe in Sarajevo at 9.10h.
