The training on the Open Government for civil servants starts

Transparency International BiH, in cooperation with the German GIZ, the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office and the Ministry of Justice of BiH, within the Program of strengthening public institutions of BiH implemented by GIZ upon the request of the German Government, is participating in the organization of the training on the Open Government for the civil servants entitled „Transparent, accountable and open“.

Sarajevo, 13th December 2016 – Transparency International BiH, in cooperation with the German GIZ, the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office and the Ministry of Justice of BiH, within the Program of strengthening public institutions of BiH implemented by GIZ upon the request of the German Government, is participating in the organization of the training on the Open Government for the civil servants entitled „Transparent, accountable and open“.
In this way the German Government uses the Program of strengthening public institutions of BiH to provide its contribution to the development and improvement of the civil servants’ capacity in regard to the open government concept. The training is designed for the civil servants in the government bodies at BiH level, specifically those whose task is to cooperate with the civil society, communication with the public, acting in accordance with the Law on Free Access to Information, public consultations, IT and other fields related to the open government concept.
This training is organized as one of the measures within the Program for strengthening public institutions of BiH aimed at supporting the institutions in the implementation of the open government principle. For this purpose, the German GIZ started its cooperation with TI BiH which shall provide its expertise in this area and present to the participants the basic principles of the open government, so to be able to apply them in their every day work, along with the proposals of solutions that will improve the existing system.
The training will be held at the Hotel Bristol in Sarajevo on Wednesday and Thursday, 14th and 15th December 2016. The press conference will be organized on 14th December 2016, at 9.00h.
