About the School of Integrity

Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) is organizing a School of Integrity based on the concept of a social integrity system developed by Transparency International. The integrity system includes key institutions, sectors or “pillars” that contribute to the integrity, transparency and accountability of society, and which are based on foundations that represent social values and awareness of citizens. The school combines academia with practical approach, and its goal is to develop and acquire knowledge and skills needed by young activists and future leaders for successful social engagement and action in the public interest to promote and develop a culture of integrity, responsibility and transparency.

The participants will take a part in a three-day module where the lecturers will be recognized experts and practitioners with many years of experience, enabeling participants to directly participate in programs to improve social integrity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within the program they will develop a project or public policy on a selected topic, which will be presented in the final module.

Module I: Politics, State and Society (August/September 2023)

Module II: Citizen, Human Rights and Freedoms (October 2023)

Module III: Leadership and Economy (November 2023)

(The exact date and place of each module will be determined later. Modules are held during the weekend in the period Friday 5PM – Sunday 2PM. TI BiH reserves the right to change the module maintenance schedule .)

 

Attendees

The School of integrity is intended for activists of civil society organizations, journalists, activists of political parties, employees of the public and private sectors, socially engaged or students in the final years of undergraduate or postgraduate studies who are involved in research work. The age limit for school students is 35. The total number of participants is 25.

Obligations of Attendees

Attendees of the School are expected to be extremely motivated to acquire knowledge about the topics, to be dedicated and actively participate in discussions and work, and to attend all three modules of the School, which is a condition for issuing a certificate of attendance at the School.

Participation costs

Participation for selected participants of the School of Integrity is free, and the costs of accommodation, food and transportation are fully covered by Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Applications in the form of a short biography and motivation letter should be sent to the address skolaintegriteta@ti-bih.org no later than July 30, 2023.
