The documentary film (Re)Public Enemy tells the story of citizens’ struggle against human rights violations and the increasingly authoritarian tendencies shown by the current authorities in Republika Srpska over the past 18 years. Following its official premiere and screenings on several TV stations in BiH and the region, the film is now available on the YouTube channel of Transparency International in BiH.
This chronicle of the times, authored by veteran journalists Vladimir Šušak and Davor Obrdalj, features testimonies from victims of numerous attacks on critics, protest participants, and key political figures. It investigates how the government has gradually tightened control, narrowing the space for opposition, media, and civil society.
“I hope we managed to condense the most important parts into an hour and present a true picture of what has happened to us. There are very interesting interviewees, including former associates of Milorad Dodik and his ex-coalition partners such as Igor Radojičić and Mladen Ivanić.
The film includes many personal stories that culminate in the events surrounding the Justice for David movement and the citizens of Banja Luka fighting for justice and the truth about the murder of student David Dragičević. The film covers many events, some previously unknown facts that took place out of public sight, which will be revealed in this documentary,” said Vladimir Šušak, veteran journalist and one of the film’s authors.
