APIK and TI BiH are organizing conference on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day

The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption (APIK), in cooperation with Transparency International Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH), with the financial support of the British Government, are organizing conference entitled „ The Fight against Corruption in BiH, experiences and challenges“ on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day.
Sarajevo, 8th December 2015 – The conference will be held on 9th December 2015, in Sarajevo (at the Hotel Bristol, Fra Filip Lastric 2), at 09:30h. The press conference is planned to be held from 09:00 to 09:30h.
The mentioned event is symbolically celebrated due to the adoption of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (Merida, Mexico), which has been supported by more than 135 countries so far.
This conference will be an opportunity to present the results that have been achieved so far in the field of prevention of corruption and coordination of fight against corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, countries in the region and broader, especially as seen through the prism of Euro-Atlantic integration and meeting international standards in this field. A Study of the National Integrity System (NIS), performed by Transparency International BiH, will be presented at the conference as well. The Study provides an overview of BiH system vulnerability in terms of corruption and efficiency of anti-corruption efforts, analyzing the main actors and institutions that constitute a country – all branches of government, public and private sector, the media and civil society.
The event will be also attended by the representatives of institutions from all levels of BiH government, representatives of diplomatic community in BiH, representatives of international and regional organizations and initiatives operating in BiH, and representatives of civil society, participating in the fight against corruption.
