Transparency International in BiH is organizing a conference on the occasion of the presentation “Research on proactive transparency and direct participation of citizens in decision-making in local self-government – Waiting for democracy”

Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BIH) will organize tomorrow, 10. March 2021 in Sarajevo, a conference on the occasion of the presentation “Research of proactive transparency and direct participation of citizens in decision-making in local government – Waiting for democracy” starting at 11:00.

The conference as well as the mentioned research are taking place within the project “E-participate” with the financial support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The goal of the E-participation project is to strengthen citizen participation in local government, increase transparency and accountability of local institutions, and improve the sustainable relationship between citizens and local government in BiH.

The participants of the conference will be addressed by N. E. Reinout Vos, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Suad Huskić, Mayor of Tešanj, Dragan Mišić, Representative of the Municipality of Teslić, and Mubera Begić, Representative of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office (PARCO) and civil society representatives. During the panel discussion, future activities planned within the project “E-participate” will be presented.
