TI BiH is organizing a conference „Strengthening Integrity in Local Governments“

The conference will be an opportunity to present the results of the cooperation with 20 municipalities from all over BiH to create integrity plans, aimed at strengthening their transparency and accountability

Sarajevo, 21st November 2016 – Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) is organizing a conference entitled Strengthening Integrity in Local Governments at which it will present the results of cooperation between BiH municipalities in regard to the development and adoption of the integrity plans.
The conference will mark the end of the two-year project in which TI BiH, along with 20 municipalities from the entire BiH, worked on improving transparency and accountability of the local government units, through the establishment of their capacities for the prevention of corruption.
The conference will also be a place to present plans of integrity as the anti-corruption mechanism, possibilities this document will provide in the development of the local community, and the best regional practices in regard to the anti-corruption fight and strengthening of integrity at local level.
This project was implemented in cooperation with the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption BiH, and financed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in BiH.
The conference will be held on Tuesday, 22nd November 2016, at 11 o’clock, at the Hotel Holiday in Sarajevo. Press conference will take place at 10.50h.
