TI BiH is organizing a Conference due to the International Right to Know Day

On the occasion of celebrating the International Right to Know Day, Transparency International in BiH (TI BiH) is organizing a Conference entitled “Free Access to Information in BiH – Law and Practice”.

Sarajevo, 27th September 2017 – On the occasion of celebrating the International Right to Know Day, Transparency International in BiH (TI BiH) is organizing a Conference entitled “Free Access to Information in BiH – Law and Practice”.
The Conference will be the opportunity to present the results of an extensive research conducted by TI BiH concerning the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information by the public enterprises in BiH, in regard to the access to information referring to their work.
In addition, the legal framework governing the right to access the information in BiH, the need of harmonizing the legal framework with the best international practices and the mutual harmonization of laws regulating this field in BiH will be also discussed. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of the laws in BiH, transparency of the institutions, as well as the challenges and obstacles encountered by the individuals and organizations when requesting the access to information.
The Conference will be held on Thursday, 28th September 2017, at the hotel Europe in Sarajevo (Vladislav Skaric no. 5) at 10.00h. The press conference will be held at 09.45h.
