Regional Conference Property Records of Judicial Office Holders

Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH) is organizing a regional conference entitled Property Records of Judicial Office Holders, which shall serve as an opportunity to discuss the prevention of conflict of interest in judiciary and the property records of the judicial office holders.

Sarajevo, 26th May 2016 – Property records of the judicial office holders are some of the most significant tools for the prevention of conflict of interest and disposal of illegally obtained property. Submitting property records by the judicial office holders, and the public disclosure of the same represent a positive practice present in the region, while in BiH such mechanisms have not been established yet. Precisely because of this, the aim of the conference is to present good practices and standards in the region, and to recommend solutions necessary to be adopted in BiH in order to improve the integrity of the judiciary.
The conference attendees will be addressed by the representatives of the judiciary and civil society of BiH, as well as the representatives of the countries in the region – Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey and Kosovo.
The conference will be held on Friday, 27th May 2016 at the Hotel Courtyard Marriott in Sarajevo (Skenderija 1), at 10.30h. The press conference will be held at 10.00h. Please find attached the draft agenda.
