Analysis of the Right of Access to Information in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Freedom of access to information belongs to the corpus of political and third-generation basic human rights and freedoms, and represents one of the basic mechanisms of national and global anti-corruption policy that increases the degree of participatory democracy, transparency and accountability of the public sector, as well as good governance.

The analysis of the right of access to information in Bosnia and Herzegovina is based on a comprehensive research aimed at assessing the legislative framework and its actual application in practice. The right
of access to information is an essential tool for increasing the transparency of the work of institutions, which is essential for improving democratic standards and accountability in public administration.
