Advocacy and Legal Advice Center Annual Report 2013

During 2013. TI BiH has received 6 cases related to complaints in the work of basic/municipal and cantonal/district courts.

The reports mainly related to the length of the court proceedings (2), failure of the courts to act on the requests of the parties (1), dissatisfaction of the parties with court decisions (2). In the mentioned cases, TI BIH gave advice to the parties regarding the method of declaring legal remedies, and explained how cases are resolved and how parties can turn to the court and urge action. Regarding the impossibility of obtaining access to information, TI BIH addressed a municipal court on behalf of the party, and after several emergencies, managed to obtain the requested information and deliver it to the party. Also, during 2013. one report was also received, which related to irregularities in the employment of administrative staff in a basic court.

TI BIH will address the court in writing regarding the aforementioned application, and the institution’s response is expected, given that the legal deadline for submitting the response has not yet expired.
