WB Reform and Growth Monitor

The project is focused on strengthening the role of civil society organisations in monitoring and assessing the implementation of reforms and investments under the European Union’s Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, with the aim of increasing institutional accountability, transparency of reform processes, and the real impact of reforms on economic and social development across the region.

The overall objective of the project is to enable civil society to actively and evidence-based contribute to the design, monitoring, and credible implementation of reforms based on the four pillars of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, through structured dialogue with institutions, public advocacy, and informing citizens.

The project will contribute to achieving this objective through:

  • The development and application of methodologies and research tools for monitoring reform agendas and EU-funded strategic investments
  • The preparation of national and regional reports on the implementation of reforms and projects under the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF)
  • The establishment and strengthening of consultation mechanisms between institutions and civil society organisations at national and regional levels
  • Capacity building of civil society organisations to engage in sectoral reforms through a small-grants scheme and mentoring support
  • Raising public awareness of reforms, their challenges, and impacts through media engagement, digital campaigns, and public events.
