Integrity for Peace

“Integrity for peace” is a comprehensive research project focusing on the case study of Bosnia and Herzegovina to explore the relationship between corruption, exclusion, and conflict. By exploring the complex relationship between corruption, exclusion, and conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, this project aims to contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and strategies to mitigate these issues.

Project activities:

1. Research and Study development

2. Workshop for 30 youth

3. Workshop for 25 media representatives

4. Dissemination of Findings

Results:

– A comprehensive understanding of the linkages between corruption, exclusion, and conflict in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on ethnic, religious, or other identity lines.

– Insights into the mechanisms through which corruption fuels state capture and generates hostility among excluded groups, leading to violent contestation over resources.

– Identification of key risk factors and challenges associated with containing violent outbreaks caused by corruption, exclusion, and discrimination

– Evidence-based policy recommendations tailored to the Bosnian context to address corruption, promote inclusion, and mitigate the risk of conflict.

– Increased Awareness through the workshops, youth and media participants will gain a deeper understanding of the nexus between corruption, conflict, and the rule of law. They will become more aware of how corruption fuels divisions, erodes the foundations of the rule of law, and contributes to the risk of violent outbreaks
