New EU Project to Support the Fight against Corruption in B&H

INVITATION TO THE MEDIA

The presentation will be held on Thursday, 15th May 2014, with the beginning at 11 a.m. in the UNITIC Business Center, Hall No. 8 (Fra Anđela Zvizdovića 1 Street) in Sarajevo.

Besides the presentation of the final results of the evaluation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and impact of its implementation, detailed methodological approach for the preparation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy and the Action plan for the period 2015-2019 will be also presented, and participants will have opportunity to discuss about the challenges in elaboration and adoption of new anti-corruption Strategy.

This event will be opened by welcoming remarks by Natalia Dianiskova, Head of the Operations Section III (Social Development, Civil Society and Cross Border Cooperation) and Srđan Blagovčanin, Executive Director of Transparency International B&H.

The media are invited to take statements before the conference at 10:45 am and to cover the opening statements.

The European Union funded the project in the amount of 178,700 EUR.

The project’s goal is to contribute to the fight against corruption in B&H by strengthening integrity, improving standards of governance and transparency in the work of public institutions. Specific objective of the project is to promote effective anti-corruption policy at both local and national level.

The project has duration of 24 months and it is implemented by the Transparency International B&H.
