On Wednesday, Transparency International BiH (TI BiH) and Friedrich Naumann’s Foundation organized a conference “Integrity of higher education” in Sarajevo. The aim of the conference ‘Integrity of higher education in BiH’ is the concretization of not only the problems that hinder the progress of higher education system, but also steps that institution are taking or will take with a view of their elimination..“ The conference is the beginning of TI activities which will be focused on the problems in higher education and the opportunity to consider the current situation in this field”, said the director of TI BiH, Srdjan Blagovcanin.
Blagovcanin considers the presence of corruption in the higher education system as one of the essential problems.
“This is the announcement of greater involvement of civil society in executing this phenomenon, and through various plans and programs’, added Blagovcanin
He says that he is satisfied with the willingness of institutions to be engaged in the whole process of raising the integrity of higher education.
Representatives of agencies for improvement of higher education and quality assurance in BiH, entity and cantonal ministries, Vice – Chancellor’s Office, inspection of entities, the OSCE, WUS Austria will attend the conference
