Study of the National Integrity System of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2023

23 April 2024

Overview of the National Integrity System (NIS) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is part of a wider regional project that includes all the countries of the Western Balkans, in which NIS research is carried out by the respective national branches of Transparency International (TI).

At the end of 2023, within the NIS BiH, an extensive review of each sector was carried out in order to gain a precise insight into the way in which key institutions fight against corruption, and recommendations were made to strengthen efforts and establish the best practices of good governance in all social pillars.

The assessment of the national integrity system was prepared by Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Secretariat of Transparency International in Berlin. The publication was produced as part of the project: “EU4 Rule of Law: Citizen Engagement for Public Integrity (CEPI) in the Western Balkans and Turkey”, which is funded by the European Union.
