Analysis of mine operations from the Electric Power Industry of BiH 2015 – 2020.

Transparency and accountability should be the two main principles in the work of every public company in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In order to investigate how public companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina run their business, whether they manage public resources responsibly, and whether there is a lack of transparency in their work, Transparency International in BiH continuously publishes research and analysis of their business. In this analysis, which includes the operations of mines within the Electric Power Industry of BiH, available data from the financial statements of the Transparentno.ba database were used, in order to investigate the trends in individual items during the period 2015. – 2020. Most of the companies covered by the research are over-indebted and inefficient in the use of public resources, and instead of contributing to society and the state, they additionally draw on financial resources and create large losses.
