The main focus of TI BiH through this project will be continuing to provide insight in the practices and management of state-owned enterprises, through providing and visualising information on their finances, their expenses and incomes, as well as their management constitution and costs. TI BiH’s aim is to provide information that are otherwise unavailable and often hidden, while state-owned enterprises cause great losses of public funds and are the battlefield of political parties’ conflicts, corruption, graft, and nepotism.

The main project goal is strengthening transparency and oversight of state-owned enterprises by shedding light on their practices and finances, informing the public on distribution of public funds and the level of accountability and quality of governance over the state-owned enterprises in BiH.

Specific objectives:

• Providing user-friendly platform that gives insight into the financial management of state-owned enterprises and assessing their transparency and governance.
• Providing comparable information on distribution of funds, management structures and financial indicators, in order to identify individual cases of mismanagement of public funds
• Give comparison between different state-owned enterprises based on different indicators, such as number of employees, income, expenses, profits, debts, etc.
• Provide sustainable online platform with the lists and profiles of state-owned enterprises, and information all available information on their businesses, so that it can be updated and provide analysis of trends over time.
• Recommend mechanisms and standards for proactive transparency of state-owned enterprises and advocate for introduction of requirements for proactive disclosure

The results expected to be achieved through project activities are as follows:
