Special attention during the implementation of the project will be paid to strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations, media and journalists to use the interactive map and improve reporting on the prosecution of corruption offenses in BiH.

Specific objectives:

  • Improving the presentation and understanding of judicial data on corruption prosecution through the development of an interactive map.
  • Strengthen the capacity of the media and NGOs to use the interactive map and improve their own analysis of data on the prosecution of corruption offenses.

Project activities will be carried out in three phases:

The first phase – development of a website with statistical data on corruption prosecution since 2012. years before all courts and prosecutor’s offices in BiH. The data used are corruption prosecution data, which are obtained from the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council. The key parameters that will be included in the interactive map will be defined in agreement with the HJPC and will be subject to changes depending on possible changes in the management of HJPC cases during the project implementation. In addition to the interactive presentation of data, two analyzes will be prepared in which the main trends and data on the prosecution of corruption will be analyzed. After the completion of the interactive map, it will be officially presented at a press conference and will be promoted on 5 main internet portals.

The second phase – the development of manuals for the analysis of court data and the use of an interactive map as well as publishing on the website to support journalists and NGOs in conducting their own analysis.

Third phase – organization of two one-day trainings for media and NGOs on the use of interactive internet platform and analysis of court data. Trainings will be organized in Sarajevo and Banja Luka after the development of an interactive map and manual.
