Combating the misuse of public resources by strengthening the capacity of the civil service

The project “Combating the Abuse of Public Resources through Strengthening Civil Service Capacities” aims to help civil servants recognize their role and importance in preventing the misuse of state resources, as well as to strengthen their capacity to identify and report potential abuses of state resources. This will be achieved through tailored capacity building trainings for civil servants, which will help them better understand the framework for the misuse of public resources, international standards and good practices in preventing the misuse of public resources.

Specific objectives of the project:

  • Training of civil servants in BiH on preventing the misuse of public resources
  • Encouraging dialogue among civil servants on the misuse of public resources, both at the local and higher levels.
  • Identifying change agents and encouraging them to lead to system change

Activities

Activities planned within the project include:

  • Upgrading the previously developed curriculum and training program for civil servants, which is available in B / C / S and English. This also includes the development of pre- and post-training tests, as well as an evaluation questionnaire.
  • Development of guidelines on whistleblower protection mechanisms and selection of participants.
  • Conducting six one-day online trainings and one live training for civil servants, selected in partnership with civil service institutions at all levels.
  • Preparation of the final report and analysis of the training series.

The project ” Combatting the Abuse of State Resources through Civil Service Capacity-Building ” aims to help civil servants to recognize their role and importance in preventing abuse of state resources, as well as to strengthen their capacity to recognize and report potential abuse of state resources.   • To provide civil servants in BiH knowledge of preventing abuse of state resources – international standards, country context, reporting mechanisms, whistleblower protection, and other guidance
  • To encourage dialogue among civil servants, both locally and nationally, on abuse of state resources.
  • To recognize agents of change, who will be encouraged to drive toward change of system.

Activities

The activities planned within the project include:
