Political contribution
Contribution, in money or in kind, to support political activities. Examples include gifts of property or services, advertising or promotional activities of a political party, and the purchase of tickets to charity events.
In Costa Rica, a political scandal linked former presidents Miguel Angel Rodriguez and Jose Maria Figures to French company Alcatel, which allegedly gave bribes and political contributions in exchange for awarding a mobile phone network to the telecom giant.
