Political female activists from four cities (Istocno Sarajevo, Bijeljina, Bihac and Zenica) will be given the opportunity to learn about the practical skills in the field of leadership, participation and representation of women within BiH politics, while the special emphasis will be put on the topics related to the importance of transparency, integrity and accountability in politics

Banja Luka, 20th September 2017 – TI BiH Academy for Women Empowerment in Politics will start tomorrow in Istocno Sarajevo. The Academy will address the following topics: the role of transparency and accountability in modern politics, participation and representation of women in BiH politics, and gender and corruption.
Political activists from four BiH cities (Istocno Sarajevo, Bijeljina, Bihac and Zenica) will have the opportunity to learn about the practical skills related to leadership and participation and role of women in BiH politics, while the special emphasis will be put on the importance of transparency and accountability within politics. The first Academy in Istocno Sarajevo is one of four that will be organized within the project supported by the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The lecturers of this year Academy are Srdjan Blagovcanin, Elvira Mujkic and Boris Divjak.
TI BiH Academy for Women Empowerment in Politics will start at 10.00h in the facilities of the University for Business Studies at the address Ravnogorska bb. Prof. Mile Matijevic, Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University for Business Studies and Srdjan Blagovcanin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Transparency International in BiH will welcome the attendees.
