National Integrity System Study – Bosnia and Herzegovina 2007

The National Integrity System encompasses the key institutions, sectors or activities (“pillars”) that contribute to integrity, transparency and accountability in society. The purpose of the Study is to make a qualitative assessment of the National Integrity System both in theory (legislative framework) and in practice (institutional capacity). A number of domestic experts took part in the research. The research was made possible by funding from the Open Society Fund and German Government.

Presentation of the findings and results of the research will take place on 13 February 2007 in hotel “Holiday Inn” and will open at 10:30. The presentation will also serve to present future activities with regard to the National Integrity System with a view to identifying and defining, through promotion of findings and results of the Study and in cooperation with state institutions, measures and activities aimed at increasing and enhancing institutional capacity for anticorruption combat.

Speeches will be given by Mr Nikola Špirić, Chairperson, Council of Ministers BiH (TBC), H.E. Michael Georg Schmunk, German Ambassador to BiH, and Mr Dirk Reinermann, Director of World Bank in BiH, who will talk about anticorruption challenges facing BiH in the coming period, as well as by a number of other guests, representatives of domestic and international institutions.
