Conference: CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Development of corporate governance and full transparency in terms of availability of all relevant information about the operation of a company are a vital prerequisite for attraction of a larger number of domestic and foreign investors as well as for enhancement of corporate and broader social accountability and overall investment-development climate in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition to the presenters from the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognised experts from foreign capital markets will give their speeches.

Main objectives of the conference

• Inform executive officeholders, managerial staff of stock companies, managers of other institutions associated with the capital market and representatives of the media outlets with the significance of complying with the stock company governance standards;
• Present experiences from the capital markets in the neighbouring countries, in the field of corporate governance;
• Point to the reform projects brought about by well-developed corporate governance.

Participants
The conference is intended for the officials of the Government of the Republic of Srpska (ministers, assistant ministers and other officials), directors and representatives of public institutions associated with the capital market, directors and members of supervisory boards in public companies, directors and managerial staff of stock companies whose stocks are listed on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange, representatives of international organisations, media outlets, etc.
