Anti-corruption standards for public procurement

Purpose of the Project:  Reducing the risk of corruption in the public procurement contracting and implementation

Objectives of the project:

• The establishment of the Minimum Anti-corruption Standards of Public Procurement as control mechanisms of procuring, implementing and auditing
• Dissemination of Minimum Anticorruption Standards of Public Procurement
• Preparation of target groups for implementation of the Minimum Anti-corruption Standards

Output:

• Comparative analysis of the current legislation on public procurement in the Czech Republic (CR) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)
• Development of basic requirements for transparency and accountability in public procurement in the form of Minimum Anti-corruption Standards
• Study visit of representatives of target groups in the CR with a focus on the implementation and supervision of public procurement
• Preparation of the final version of the Minimum Anti-corruption Standards of Public Procurement
• Presentation of the Minimum Anti-Corruption Standards of Public Procurement to target groups and civil society

Activities:

• Develop a methodology for the collection and processing of data; A comparative analysis on a sample of three typical examples of public contracts (varying ranges); Create a working version of the comparative study in cooperation between the two partners; Development of the final version of the comparative study
• Design a draft of Minimum Anti-corruption Standards; Professional feedback
• Selection of participants and preparation of the program of the study visit; Study visit in CR; Development of recommendations for the final version of the Minimum Anti-corruption Standards
• Preparation of a conference for representatives of target groups, professionals and civil society public; Conference with presentation of the Minimum Anti-corruption Standards of Public Procurement – BiH; Distribution of the Minimum Anti-corruption Standards of Public Procurement in print and in electronic form
