Consultative meetings with the representatives of the contracting authorities in the health sector held

Transparency International Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI BiH), in cooperation with Transparency International Czech Republic, held two consultative meetings in Sarajevo with the representatives of the contracting authorities in the health sector of BiH.

This was the opportunity to present the objectives of the planned activities of TI in the health sector of BiH, to discuss the existing legislative framework and practices of implementing the public procurements in the health sector, with special emphasis on the procurement of medical equipment, availability and in-time relevant information, identified problems and potential solutions to overcome those problems, all of which compose relevant inputs for the creation of an objective Analysis and recommendations in the field of public procurement in the health sector as one component of the project.

In the past two days the participants were interviewed in order to conduct selection of candidates for the study visit to the Czech Republic and the exchange of experiences of the representatives of the contracting authorities in the health sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic. The selected candidates will continue working together on developing the recommendations for the improvement of situation in this field of public procurement in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Organization of meetings is financially supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic within the project „Public procurement in the health sector: education of contracting authorities“.
